The creation of the IUFM has put an end to an institution one century old and broadened the scope of historians' investigations with a new field of research : that of the history of teacher training colleges.

       A first urgent task has been undertaken: listing all the archives and records left by such schools.

       Technical aspects : consultation, classification

This research should lead to measures of conservation of this heritage, thus making its scientific and pedagogical exploration possible.
