Le Guide international de la recherche en histoire de l'éducation est le prolongement en ligne des ouvrages édités sous ce titre en 1990 et 1995 par l'INRP, sous la direction de Pierre Caspard et pour le compte de l' ISCHE (International Standing Conference for the History of Education/Association internationale pour l'histoire de l'éducation).
Il comprend, en plus des informations institutionnelles présentes dans la version imprimée, des fiches individuelles destinées à présenter des chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs, leur domaine de recherche et leurs publications. Il permet aussi d'accéder directement aux sites en ligne des institutions et aux pages personnelles des chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs, ce qui en fait, non seulement un annuaire, mais aussi un outil de navigation spécialisé.
Le Guide en ligne comprend six types de fiches : associations et centres de recherche ; bibliothèques, musées et centres documentaires ; revues ; bases de données ; chaires universitaires ; chercheurs, enseignants-chercheurs ou autres acteurs individuels. Ces fiches croisent des données indexées organisées en trois tables (pays ; institutions ; individus) à partir desquelles on peut lancer une recherche avancée.

The International Guide to the research into the history of education is the continuation online of the works issued under the same title by the INRP from 1990 to 1995 under the supervision of Pierre Caspard for the ISCHE (International standing conference for the history of education).
In addition to the institutional information of the printed version, it provides individual sheets intended to present scholars, teachers and researchers, their research fields and their publications. It makes it possible to have direct access to the online sites of the institutions concerned and the personal pages of the teachers and researchers, which means it is not only a directory, but a specialized navigator tool.
The online Guide covers 6 types of sheets: associations and research centres; libraries, museums and resource centres; journals, databases, university chairs, scholars, teachers and researchers, and other individual personalities. These sheets overlap indexed data that is divided into three tables (country, institutions, individuals) from which an advanced search can be started.
